About Method Campaigns
Brian VanRiper is a skilled strategist who brings a proven “multi-touch” voter contact program to California. He has over seven years of experience; working for gubernatorial, city council, state assembly, state senate, U.S. Congressional, local ballot measure, and independent expenditures campaigns, as well as Barack Obama’s Iowa caucus campaign.
It was in Iowa that Brian observed field campaigns done the right way. These campaigns were operated with attention to detail, multiple touches on the targeted universe and an understanding that field is the decisive edge in close campaigns. He will raise the bar in California with higher expectations of paid canvassers, better technology, and more rigorous quality control.
Brian first moved to California as a Marine. After a deployment to Iraq and an Honorable Discharge in 2004, Brian settled in Southern California and immersed himself in Democratic politics. He began by volunteering for John Kerry’s 2004 Presidential campaign. Brian lives in Los Angeles and spends his free time volunteering for YMCA youth basketball, Bet Tzedek, and New Directions.
